We will pick you up early from your hotel and set out on a journey through the southern valley. The road to the trailhead at 4,600m/14,889. ft) has a duration of Three hours. Then we start our walk, following a beautiful path. Immediately you will be literally amazed by herds of alpacas and llamas. We will have consistent views of the Ausangate mountain range. We will walk through the town and interact with the residents. Back on the trail, we encounter more of the traditional elements of this hike. This includes potato fields and unique wildlife. We have the prospect of seeing chinchillas and vicuñas. Vicuñas are the only non-domesticated animal of the llama family in Peru. Lots of red mountains are also a highlight of this part of the hike. After approximately 3 hours, we will arrive at our destination (Montaña de Colores 5,020 m / 16,466 ft). Then, getting over the shock of its beauty, you will have time to explore the area. You will have time to take pictures and soak up the surroundings. We will spend approximately 1 hour at the top. At this point, it's time to go back down. We walked downhill the way we came. The walk will take 2 hours. Our private van will be waiting when we return. We will embark on the 3-hour drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. (Breakfast and lunch).
