ITINERARY

DAY 01

LIMA - CUZCO

Arrival in Cusco, reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
PM. City tour of Cusco and visit to the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.
Night at the hotel.

DAY 02

CUZCO - SACRED VALLEY - CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo Fortress.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to Cuzco and transfer to the hotel.
Night at the hotel.

DAY 03

CUZCO - PISCACUCHO (KM.82) - HUAYLLABAMBA

Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick up from the hotel.
Transfer to Km 82.
Hike of 2 and a half hours until arriving to the archaeological site of Patallacta (2750 masl).
3 hours trekking until arriving to the camp located in Wayllabamba (3000 masl).

Distance covered: 12 km
Approximate trekking time: 5 to 6 hours

DAY 04

HUAYLLABAMBA - PACAYMAYU

Breakfast at the camp.
4 hours hike to Llulluchapampa (3840 masl).
Trek of 2 hours until arriving to Warmyhuañuska (4200 masl).
Walk downhill for approximately 2 hours until arriving to the camp in Pacaymayo (3600 masl).

Maximum altitude: 4200 masl
Minimum altitude: 3600 masl
Distance covered: 9 km
Approximate trekking time: 7 to 8 hours

DAY 05

PACAYMAYU - WIÑAYWAYNA

Breakfast at the camp.
1 hour hike to Runkurakay (3900masl).
Descent for 3 hours and visit Sayacmarka (3650 masl).
Walk for 2 hours and visit to Puyupatamarca (3640 masl).
Hike for approximately 3 hours to reach Wiñaywayna (3000 masl).
Arrival to the camp.

Distance covered: 14 km
Approximate trekking time: 8 to 9 hours

DAY 06

PACAYMAYU - WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO

Breakfast at the camp.
Hike of approximately 1 hour and a half to reach the Sun Gate or Inti Punku.
Guided visit of the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes.
Free time for lunch.
Train back to Cuzco. Transfer to the hotel.
Night at the hotel.

CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel.
Day at leisure.
