At sunset, we recommend taking the river excursion at night, where you can observe nightjars, owls, capybaras and large caimans.

We recommend a visit to Lake Sandoval, board a canoe to paddle calmly through the mangroves. This lake is inhabited by birds, river otters, monkeys, macaws, anacondas, turtles and black caimans.

In the afternoon, we recommend the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway and the Anaconda Walk.

We recommend a 25-minute boat ride to the Chacra and Quebrada de Gamitana to discover more mysteries of the rainforest. The Amazon is an almost inexhaustible source of exotic fruits and vegetables, many of which have healing properties.
At the Gamitana model farm, you will see a variety of ingredients grown by local farmers, then taste seasonal fruits.
Walk along a trail until you reach the Gamitana Creek, this meandering dark water creek is inhabited by abundant flora and fauna, such as piranhas, caimans, turtles and birds. Return to Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica for lunch.

Navigate 35 minutes upriver to Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion, this property formerly functioned as a medical center and ecological studies.
Then enjoy a relaxing 30-minute canoe ride in search of turtles, grebes, nightjars and exotic herons. Return to Reserva Amazonica Lodge.
