We will pick you up early from your hotel and set out on a journey through the southern valley. The journey to the trailhead at 4300m takes 4 hours. Then we start our walk, following a beautiful path. Immediately you will be literally amazed by herds of alpacas and llamas. We will have consistent views of the Vilcanota mountain range. We will walk through the viewpoints of the lake and the mountain range and interact with the residents. Back on the trail, we encounter more of the traditional elements of this hike. This includes potato fields and unique wildlife. We have the prospect of seeing chinchillas and vicuñas. Vicuñas are the only non-domesticated animal of the alpaca and llama family in Peru. Lots of red mountains are also a highlight of this part of the hike. After approximately 2 hours of walking, we will arrive at our destination (PALLAY PONCHO APU TACLLO MOUNTAINS located at 4,791 masl). Then, getting over the shock of its beauty, you will have time to explore the area. You will have time to take pictures and soak up the surroundings. We will spend approximately 1 hour at the top. At this point, it's time to go back down. We walked downhill the way we came. The walk will take 1 hour. Our private van will be waiting when we return. We will embark on the 3-hour drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. (Breakfast and lunch).
